Durham Regional Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of $25,000 for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for an unsolved break and enter in Beaverton.

On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at approximately 8:10 p.m., Durham Regional Police responded to a break and enter call at a residence in the area of Thorah Concession Road 4 and Highway 12, in the Township of Brock.

The homeowner had departed his residence in the early morning and returned home after 5:00 p.m. to discover that the front door was open.

A subsequent search of the residence revealed that a gun safe had been stolen. The safe contained several firearms, including some that are family heirlooms, as well as a passport and a quantity of Canadian currency.

Police are concerned that the stolen firearms remain unaccounted for and could pose a serious risk to public safety if used in further criminal activity.
